Kudos to our pal Leah Thomson Snell, a financial advisor with Merrill Lynch, for pulling together a free talk by prominent breast cancer physician Susan Love. It’s taking place at Caltech’s Cahill Auditorium on Wednesday evening, and it’s free and open to all—you just need to RSVP to Leah a day in advance. Dr. Love heads the Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation, and she’s an expert on where breast cancer diagnosis, treatment and research is at today, and where it’s headed. We at Hometown Pasadena have some up close and personal experience with this subject, and given than one in eight (some say seven) women will face breast cancer in their lifetime, you would be well advised to find out the latest about risk factors, testing, treatment advances and more.
