The Pasadena Chamber of Commerce is going hi-tech and for this year’s Pasadena Restaurant Week they are offering an app for iPhone and Android users that identifies participating restaurants by location, cuisine, and price, as well as an alphabetical list. Users can also use the app to make reservations and find out about other yearly events like Cheeseburger Week in January and SIP-tember (celebration of the cocktail) in August and September.
The Pasadena Chamber designed Restaurant Week to highlight the “range, quality, and excellence of Pasadena’s dining opportunities.
Part of the allure is that participating restaurants whip up special meals and offer discounted prices. Two-course lunch meals are available for $15, $20, and $25, while a 3-course fixed price dinner ranges from $26 to $44.
Over 40 restaurants are participating this year. Go burger-style with Slater’s 50/50, Pie ‘n Burger, and Umami Burger or go high end with Vertical Wine Bistro, Noir Food & Wine, The Raymond Restaurant, and The Terrace at the Langham Huntington Pasadena. South of the border fare can be had at El Cholo, El Portal, Mijares Mexican Restaurant, and 1810 Argentinian Restaurant. The tastes of Nippon-koku (“the State of Japan”) is represented by Tokyo Shabu Shabu, Osawa Shabu Shabu Sushi, and Japon Bistro. The Market on Holly is even in on the event, as is Pita Jungle, POP Champagne, All India Cafe, and the Brookside Golf Club (!) just to name a few.
