Party on: Celebrating with Julienne Returns

Apr 18, 2011

Celebrating with Julienne is currently available through our Prospect Park Media Online Store or any of the local retailers listed below.

After nearly a year out of print, the award-winning, hot-selling Celebrating with Julienne cookbook is back, published by, that’s right, your friends here at Prospect Park Media.

To launch the new edition, Julienne in San Marino hosted an open house with publisher Colleen Dunn Bates and Julienne owner Julie Campoy on hand to sign books.

Originally authored by Julienne owner and chef Susan Campoy in 2009, Celebrating with Julienne became a local phenomenon, selling 8,000 copies in one year, almost exclusively through local shops.

Royalties from this new edition will benefit a program near and dear to the hearts of everyone involved: the Susan Campoy Nurse Education Fund at City of Hope. Sue Campoy died of breast cancer at City of Hope two months before the original edition came out, in 2009. Her co-author and distributor, Colleen Bates, was diagnosed with breast cancer at the end of 2009. With Colleen still in treatment, in the fall of 2010, Sue’s daughter and business partner, Julie Campoy, was diagnosed with breast cancer. Julie is currently undergoing chemotherapy at City of Hope, while continuing to run Julienne.
