We love lights. Any kind of lights: July 4th fireworks; firelight (indoors or out, fireplace or campfire); moonlight; sunlight (that’s a big one); the lights we hope to see one day, like the Aurora Borealis.
And then there are Christmas lights.
Walking our neighborhoods on Boxing Day, a sliver of a moon rises in the sky surrounded by a sprinkling of stars, framed by the silhouettes of gangly palm trees. Down here on terra firma, dusk approaches and our own festival of lights begins. Here’s a sampling.
