Madame Butterfly Lands on One Colorado

Madame Butterfly will be flitting into town this week.

One Colorado will host the L.A. Opera with several members performing arias from the Puccini’s tragic story this Thursday, November 8th.

There will be two showings and it is first come, first served.

L.A. Opera’s production of Puccini’s Madame Butterfly (officially opens November 17) is directed by Ron Daniels. He staged L.A. Opera’s world premiere of Il Postino, which went on to show in Vienna, Paris, and Mexico City. Cio-Cio-San is played by Ukranian soprano Oksana Dyka who made her L.A. Opera debut in 2011 as Tatiana in Eugene Onegin. Benjamin Franklin Pinkerton is played by Brandon Jovanovich.
