Dawn of the Pasadena Blog

Dec 21, 2008

Three years ago, I decided that Pasadena was so cool that it deserved its own book, and so I rounded up a group of smart, funny, connected writer friends to help me make it happen. Two years ago, we published Hometown Pasadena, which became a small-town sensation, setting local sales records and bringing the authors — me, Sandy Gillis, Jill Ganon, Mel Malmberg and Mary Jane Horton — a lot of joy. Now we’re back with a thoroughly updated and expanded new edition, Hometown Pasadena 2009.2010. This site and blog are the book’s buddies, providing a way for us to stay in touch with you, the readers, and to post regularly about what we’re discovering, who we’re meeting, what we’re learning, and where we’re eating, drinking, shopping, and exploring in the San Gabriel Valley.

The whole team, including some of our friends, will post regularly, and we hope you check in often and put us in your RSS reader so you can keep connected with the Hometown Pasadena community. And please share your discoveries in the comments — we’d love to hear from you.

This whole operation ALMOST makes me want to move to Pasadena just to be part of this gang of clever, informed, hip people and enjoy another delicious slice of the California life style.
