Put another candle on the birthday cake, Pasadena is celebrating its 125th birthday. The quasquicentennial celebration will be held on June 11th at the Pasadena Museum of History, whose location is on the corner of Walnut and Orange Grove. Along with the City of Pasadena, the museum has teamed up with local individuals, businesses, and community organizations to host a festival in celebration of this event.
At the celebration there will be food, exhibits, historical information and music to entertain partygoers all afternoon. Activities include a crafts workshop with chalk artist Helen Marsh, performances by Lineage Dance and California Philharmonic Brass Quintet, and much more. Be sure to make it in time for the cutting of the cake, which will be hand-crafted by patisserie chefs at Pasadena’s own Le Cordon Bleu. Whether you’re a Pasadena local for life, a new face on the block, or just want to learn more about our city, this offers a way to celebrate the city and its culture on a Saturday afternoon.
