Creativity Abounds at ArtNight

Oct 11, 2011

ArtNight is here once again, lavishing Pasadena with a trove of creative treasures. Just for starters, there’s French immersion at the Alliance Française de Pasadena, with a round-table discussion, student art exhibit and a jazz performance by Cameron Summers.

Travel through our solar system via art and science at Art Center College of Design. You can listen to live R&B and poetry readings at artWORKS, check out the nonstop dancing at Lineage Performing Art Center and gaze at the light installation and puzzle-building project at One Colorado.

The public library will be twisting and stomping the night away celebrating the 1950s through the ’80s with a musical kaleidoscope, storytelling, crafts and hula hoops.

You can even fit in a little exercise by participating in the ArtNight Bicycle Tour.

Other venues will be offering painting, sculpture, printmaking and photography—all the art you could want to nurture your soul, stimulate the intellect and inspire your creative instincts.

To fill up your tummy along the way, food trucks such as Cool Haus, Waffles de Liege and the Nom Nom Truck will be providing victuals—and giving back 10% of proceeds to support future ArtNight events.

Free shuttles will stop at each venue, and the ARTS bus will run along Colorado and Green Streets until 8 p.m.
