Pasadena Pro Musica celebrates the return of the prodigiously talented mezzo-soprano Julia Metzler to Southern California by featuring her in Benjamin Britten’s Cabaret Songs and Henry Purcell’s Orpheus Britannicus.
The program will include the chorus performing Britten’s Lift Boy, I Lov’d a Lass, Choral Dances from Gloriana, Rejoice in the Lamb, and Hymn to St. Cecilia.
Accompanists will be Alan Geier, piano, and Edward Murray, organ. Music Director Stephen Grimm will conduct.
