What: Music of Beethoven and John Williams by the California Philharmonic Chorale and Soloists

Program: Beethoven’s Ode to Joy from Symphony No. 9 and John William’s scores from Star Wars, Superman, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Amistad, and Saving Private Ryan.

When: Saturday, August 25th

Where: Santa Anita Race Track, on their “specially renovated lush infield” with an awe-inspiring, unobstructed view of the San Gabriel Mountains.

Amenities: unlimited parking, restrooms (not portable restrooms or portaloos), live video, a variety of food choices, and a full bar (several locations)

Seating: table seating in the conductor’s circle (sections A, B, or C) for 10-12 people; bench seating (section D), which is unassigned and first come, first served; lawn seating on the back half of the concert lawn (blankets and low beach chairs welcome)
