Yep. Now it’s Altadena’s turn—again (though minus the “urban” moniker).
The new, simply named Altadena Farmers Market will open next Wednesday at Loma Alta Park.
Joseph Shuldiner of the Institute of Domestic Technology has worked tirelessly to bring this event to pass after originally organizing the Altadena Urban Farmers Market. This new derivative is sponsored by the nonprofit Altadena Heritage advocacy organization.
About 10 vendors will be selling produce while another 10 will be selling prepared goods. One of the produce vendors will be none other than the John Muir High School Farm (student farmers unite!). Also on the list is the Drake Family Goat Dairy, Elsers Country Farm, and Kenter Canyon Farms.
For prepared yummies, Mother Moo will be selling organic ice cream, Molany Tubilderborst’s will present the “bread lounge,” Bigmista’s will fill the air with the aroma of BBQ, and Plow & Gun Coffee will provide a caffeine fix. You can even consume a wood-fired oven pizza from a double-decker London bus from Fox Pizza Bus.
New Altadena Farmers Market
