Altadena Citizen of the Year Michele Zack

From organizing the wonderful LitFest Pasadena fundraiser at the Mountain View Mausoleum, moderating an incredible panel, “History, Fiction…and Truth?” at the festival in Central Park, her incredible books Altadena: Between Wilderness and City and Southern California Story, her work as a local historian at the Huntington-USC Institute on California and the West (ICW), serving on the Watershed Committee and the Altadena Foothills Conservancy, to being on the board of Altadena Heritage, Michele Zack is a force to be reckoned with—an wonderfully effective and efficient organizer, a passionate and hard worker, and a gold mine of knowledge—a worthy recipient of Altadena’s Citizen of the Year award and an incredible asset to her beloved town.

She was celebrated this week by Peggy Sue Davis who delivered a limerick she composed in Michele’s honor at the Los Angeles Limerick Fest at the Altadena Ale & Wine House:

Altadena’s Citizen of the Year
Has graced us with her presence here:
All hail Michele Zack;
You are a class act!
Everybody, please stand up and cheer!

And they did just that.

Congratulations, Michele!
