Thanks to our friend Kim Ohanneson for passing on the news about our favorite vegetarian restaurant:
Angelenos, get ready to speed dial. After a decade of delighting Angelenos with high-end vegan and vegetarian fare paired with fine wines, Fatty & Co.’s will close its doors for an unspecified amount of time, Eat/Drink/See Eagle Rock has learned. On Dec. 31, 2010, Colorado Boulevard-restaurateurs Kim Dingle and Aude Charles held their “Last Supper” and on January 1, 2011, the duo began what they call an open-ended “creative hiatus.”
Fatty’s made its mark on the Los Angeles food scene with its thoughtful, creative, upscale, meatless menu, not to mention its extensive, reasonably-priced wine list, which includes organic, sustainably farmed and biodynamic wines as well as rare vintages.
But rest assured, all you vegan-simpatico foodies: Once re-openend, the restaurant will remain committed to vegan and vegetarians cuisine….

Well I do hope it re-opens. With the same menu too.
I will miss the incredibly decadent vegan desserts, the great appetizers and terrific wine list with glass and a half option, may they come back more creative and re-charged. thanks kim!
