It’s a time of good cheer times two this year; the perennial favorite, Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker, will be performed at The Pasadena Civic Center and The Pasadena Playhouse.

The Long Beach Ballet will once again perform at the Civic Center with its usual full symphony orchestra and special effects. Additionally, this already elaborate production will be enhanced by the young, impressive voices of the South Coast Children’s Chorale.

The Playhouse version is a guest production presented by the Pasadena Dance Theatre (founded at the Playhouse in 1958 by Evelyn LeMone) and providing “classical and innovative contemporary choreography” in every production they put up.

For many, the holidays just aren’t complete without their annual dose of The Nutcracker, so buy your tickets early and let the festivities begin!
