On the western end of South Pasadena sits this serene 1910 home, which Pat Wright spent a year renovating. It’s now a fine B&B, with nine rooms (all with private bath) done in soft tones of sage green, sky blue and butter yellow. Although it is furnished with such things as antique armoires and deep, free-standing tubs, the style is clean-lined, not B&B fussy—and you get such hotel amenities as WiFi, robes and iPod players. Several rooms have balconies and views. Wright cooks a yummy breakfast (and caters events), using ingredients from her own garden, and loves to share wine from the home’s original cave in the cellar. Her love of good food also translates into occasional cooking classes. A find for romance seekers and business travelers alike.
