The Institute for Girls’ Development and Vroman’s Bookstore are partnering to offer a Writers Workshop for teenagers to turn their memories, crazy experiences, comedic interactions, difficult issues, or simply fantasies into stories. The workshops will be led by the Pasadena Writing Project‘s Carla Sameth and Joy Malek, and all experience levels are welcome.
Additionally, the Institute is offering:
Cool Ways to Chill: Teen Yoga and Mindfulness.
Be REAL (Relationshiops: Extraordinary, Authentic, and Loving) “to empower middle school girls and their parents in navigating the social world.”
Mind Body Spirit Friendship Adventure for elementary-aged girls, in partnership with Lineage Dance and Altadena artist Karen Bagnard.
The Institute for Girls’ Development is “dedicated to empowering girls and women through self-discovery, embodied living, hardiness skills, and growth fostering relationships.”
