Singing Their Way to Broadway

Nov 20, 2011

How good is it to be a teenager? Really, really good if you are one of the ten students chosen to perform a musical theatre number for Tony Award-winning composer-lyricist Jason Robert Brown.

On Saturday, November 26th at the Pasadena Playhouse, these kids will perform and be critiqued by Brown. One of the students chosen, Miriam Sulker-Hall, said she is “thrilled to be a part of a masterclass led by such a successful artist. I hope to gain more insight into the world of professional theatre with this experience.”

This is the first project in a planned collaboration between the  Pasadena Musical Theatre Program (PMTP) and the Pasadena Playhouse. The event is open to the public, but as the Carrie Hamilton black box theatre has a very limited capacity, anyone interested is urged to purchase tickets quickly.
