Preschools are plentiful in the San Gabriel Valley, so plentiful that the quest to find the right fit for your family can quickly get overwhelming. To help the search, two chapters of the Pasadena MOMS Club are presenting a preschool fair on Saturday to host representatives from more than 40 nursery schools in the area. The event, which will be held at Pasadena City College, attracted 600 attendees in 2010 and is expected to draw an even larger crowd this year.
Schools from Pasadena, Altadena, La Canada-Flintridge, South Pasadena, Sierra Madre and San Marino will have staff on hand to answer questions about educational philosophy, facilities, developmental goals, tuition and more. Parents will be given a packet that will give details on each participating school as well as educational literature and applications. Admission is free except for parking (in PCC student lot 3), which is $2. A silent auction and raffle at the fair will benefit several local charities.
