Los Angeles Children’s Chorus (based out of Pasadena) is holding auditions for boys and girls ages eight (by September 1, 2013) to twelve, June 6th-9th.
Auditions will be held at the Pasadena Presbyterian Church on the corner of Colorado Boulevard and Madison Avenue.
Experience is not necessary, but audition appointments are required.
Click here for an audition application. Auditions are being scheduled now, there are limited spots and are assigned on a first come, first serve basis.
How should the children prepare? LACC says, “No special preparation is necessary for the audition. It is suggested that you simply get a good night’s rest the night before and not eat or drink any dairy products for several hours before you audition.”
What happens during the audition?
You and four other children will meet in a group with LACC’s conductors. You will be asked a few questions about your musical experiences. Together, you will learn about how LACC teaches singing and you will have fun singing together and individually. You will also have the opportunity to answer a few written questions about music. You will have an hour long musical experience with LACC. During your audition, your parents will attend an orientation to learn more about LACC and its expectations of choristers and their families.
