It may be the dog days of summer, but there are still some wonderful activities available for local girls and teens. Due to the overwhelming popularity of their programs earlier this summer, the Institute for Girls’ Development has added three additional opportunities in August:
MIND BODY SPIRIT DANCE! August 9 – 13 The theme is “Girls’ Friendships” in this new one week program geared for girls entering 3rd – 5th grade. Through fun movement, yoga, skits, games, crafts and group conversations, girls will learn skills for positive friendships. Join the Institute team and expert guests for an empowering week for girls. Free for parents: Dr. Melissa Johnson, Institute founder will offer a workshop for parents, providing tips, tools, and resources for helping daughters navigate their social world.
