Broadway for Kids at Levitt

Jul 3, 2010

One night a week of Levitt Pavilion’s free summer concert series is devoted to the little ones who walk amongst us. No, not Oompa Loompas, but children. We’ll be spotlighting these weekly offerings in this space all summer long, so keep your eyes peeled—you never know where the next Raffi might come from.

Theatre 360, a Pasadena-based children’s theatre group, are the stars of Kid’s Night number three. Offering classes in acting, voice, dance and theatre tech, as well as five plays a year (all roles filled by students), Theatre 360 is a mainstay of local dramatic education. For Levitt, they’ve put together a Broadway musical medley, with songs from Hairspray, You’re a Good Man Charle Brown and 13 (not Thirteen, the drug-addled mother-daughter nightmare… that’s next week). Dancing encouraged.
