The La Canada Flintridge Tournament of Roses float wants your help! If you are looking for a way to get involved in the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade in a hands-on way, you can sign up for a shift to help decorate and put the finishing touches on the La Canada float.
Decorating is open to everyone age 13 and up and is a great family activity, especially if you have visiting relatives or friends who would love to be able to say that their hard work went into creating one of the floral masterpieces that will cruise down Colorado Boulevard on New Year’s day. By going to the La Canada Tournament of Roses Association website, you can click on the link to fill out a decorator form and sign up for one of three shifts that need to be filled each day. You can simply submit your selection online.
The float construction site is located underneath an overpass of the 210 freeway just next to Flintridge Preparatory School, off the exit for Foothill Boulevard. Wear old clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty and also wear layers, as it can get quite cool under the overpass, even on a sunny day. Snacks and hot drinks will be provided to all volunteers.
