Tournament House Tours

Jun 28, 2011

Don’t miss out on seeing the inside of the Tournament House before it closes its doors for the fall. Free tours of the house are offered every Thursday through August; not only do you get to see the house, but you’ll also see—get ready for it—the Crown of the Rose Queen. Inside the 21-room, 18,500-square-foot Italian Renaissance-style house is rich paneling, inlaid marble floors and molded plaster ceilings, plus crowns and tiaras worn by former Rose Queens and Princesses, Rose Bowl trophies and memorabilia, and historic photographs. The house closes to the public in September, but its rooms still buzz with activity, as volunteers and staff gear up for New Year’s Day.

Lived in Pasadena all my adult life and have never been. It’s been theoretically on my list, but now it’s on my calendar. Thanks so much, you ROCK!
