Want to learn how to make the most of the inordinate amount of rain we’ve had this winter? Come out to a free workshop on March 12 to get the run-down on rain harvesting with barrels and on the basics of rain gardens, which conserve water and replenish the ground water. In our semi-arid climate, we need to find ways to make use of every drop of water we are given, and this is the perfect opportunity to learn how.
The workshop will be taught by rain garden expert Brad Lancaster, who has spent the last 15 years as a permaculture educator. Not only will you learn how to use rain barrels, but you may be able to win one for yourself as well—they’ll be raffling one off at the event. Although the workshop is free, registration is required.
