Graywater Workshop

Jun 16, 2010

Graywater makes the yard of Altadena Heritage's Michele Zack look like this.

Your great-grandmother might not have considered using water twice to be revolutionary—it’s just what you did back then. But now we have to learn how to do it all over again, as water becomes a scarce commodity. To further the conservation cause, Altadena Heritage is sponsoring a free program with ideas for harvesting and redirecting graywater to use in your landscaping. Erik Knutzen of Homegrown Evolution will do the talking, and he’ll encourage questions and conversation. You’ll learn what exactly graywater is, what’s legal and what’s not, and how it can be used successfully in your garden.
