This is the allure of this year’s Glorious Gardens Tour presented by the Spiritual Care Guild of Children’s Hospital Los Angeles taking place on Sunday, April 28th.
Last year’s event drew over 600 attendees who strolled through the private gardens of five San Marino residences. At the end of the tour, a catered lunch is held “in the botanical setting of an historic estate” with a craftsman beer garden, as well as a boutique consisting of gardeners’ materials and whimsical items.
Fr. John Siglar, fsp, will be the honoree this year. He is a chaplain with the National Association of Catholic Chaplains and has been a chaplain at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, St. Mary Medical Center Long Beach, and currently serves at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
At Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, Fr. John worked primarily in intensive care and end-of-life care where he saw the increasing demand for spiritual inter-faith support. He rallied a group of friends from his San Marino High School years and formed The Spiritual Guild of Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.…The Spiritual Care Guild raises funds to provide spiritual care services for over 300,000 families that come to the hospital each year. “One Spirit, One Soul, One Child at a Time.”
