It’s not easy to get kids off of Count Chocula and Twizzlers, but the Junior League of Pasadena is aiming to do just that—by playing up how tasty (and fun) “real” food can be. On Saturday it’s hosting a free event at the Armory that will bring the farm-to-table message to kids, especially those from 4th to 6th grade, when kids start making more of their own food choices. It’s free, and it promises to be pretty cool: They’ll get to train with an NFL player, learn how to prepare fun food, and brave an obstacle course. This is all part of the Junior League’s larger Kids in the Kitchen program… so there should be more such events in the future.
