Hoping to raise funds for a second home to provide a home and support services for pregnant, homeless women in the San Gabriel Valley, Elizabeth House is mounting a gala at the University Club in Pasadena on Saturday, March 20. Dodger announcer Eric Smith will emcee; syndicated radio talk show host (KRLA) Hugh Hewitt will be the guest speaker, and the evening includes a reception, silent auction and dinner.

Wendy Modic, administrative assistant at Elizabeth House, knows firsthand the critical role affordable transitional housing can play. “Thanks to Elizabeth House, my experience with homelessness has now come full circle,” explains Modic. “My family is thriving, we are healthy, happy, and we are no longer homeless.  I am so proud to now work for the same agency that took me and my son in 13 years ago when I was pregnant. It means so much to be a part of the work that will make a difference in the lives of so many families like mine.”

A really good, local, grass roots organization. Plus – they happily take donations of all your gently used baby clothes and products, so clean out your garage and help them out!
