Lady of Leisure

Jun 3, 2013

LadyofLeisureCocktailAs many people may know, Ann Erdman is now the former Public Information Officer for the City of Pasadena.

Today she is happily retired.

A lady of leisure.

Her fine character and her 25 years of service have been celebrated right and left, here and there, for the past 12 months. Just yesterday, Ann was honored as the Women’s Civic League’s Woman of the Year. She’s also a Board member with more than a few charitable organizations (such as Women at Work and Villa Esperanza), so we’re not sure “lady of leisure” is actually spot on.

But we are quite sure that Ann is having a grand ole time in her retirement—with her volunteer work, her road trips, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and (we can’t believe it either) her great-grandchildren.

At her retirement party last year, Ann’s signature cocktail “Lady of Leisure” was launched, and Ann was kind enough to share it with all of us—just in time for summer. And as this will probably be a pretty toasty, and even a sizzling summer, we thought shoring up on our cool cocktail repertoire would be fun, fitting, efficient, and tasty.

Thank you, Ann.

Now, that’s the right idea, Inez! Good on ya! It must be cocktail Monday, eh?
