We don’t usually feature events with such forthright corporate credentials, but Toyota’s “Farm to Table Tour” seems worthwhile. It brings top local chefs to honest-to-goodness farmers markets to provide complimentary (!) nibbles to potential Toyota customers, who are given “the opportunity to experience Toyota’s newest hybrid vehicles”—a small price to pay for free eats from Paul Rosenbluh of Firefly, Luis Alfonso Ortega Banuelos of Shiro, and Susan Feniger (!?) of, among other things, STREET, which is the only non-SGV restaurant represented. In addition to Firely and Shiro, there will be chefs on hand from Fiore, Nicole’s Gourmet Foods, Heirloom, The Raymond, Mike & Anne’s, and Gus’s BBQ.
