Not personally, but as a mythical figure and a Euripedes play? She kills her kids to spite her husband? That one. Okay, so imagine that a character from the play rescues the kids from their mother and accidentally time travels with them to modern-day Maine in the middle of a hurricane? That’s The Children, a brand new play by Michael Elyanow getting it’s world premiere this Saturday at Boston Court. It’s about survival and healing. We’re told it’s “eerily moving.” It sounds awesome. Also there are puppets, which make most things better. When was the last time you went to a world premiere?

In PAVILION, kids are complex and flawed, free to do whatever they want in an atmosphere charged with dread, but not without a sliver of hope. In this deep and ethereal landscape, life is beautiful, but not easy, and PAVILION shows us an innocent world coming apart at the seams.
