The 6th Annual Theodore Payne Native Plant Garden Tour

Published: Wednesday, April 1st, 2009

This self-guided journey through some of the San Gabriel Valley’s most beautiful native gardens is a fine option to consider for this spring weekend. Each home contains at least 50% California native plants and showcases the region’s most creative homeowners and garden designers. Tours take place both Saturday and Sunday, but the east side is showcased on the 4th. There is also a free lecture Saturday evening in Hollywood, with author and native plant expert Carol Bornstein of the Santa Barbara Botanic Garden. It’s supposed to be a beautiful sunny weekend, so get out there this weekend! Tickets are $20 for both days; Sunday concentrates on the west side.
