Last year it was “North by Northeast.” Two years ago it was the “Recovery Discovery Tour.” This year—its 19th—the Arroyo Arts Collective Discovery Tour has no snappy name, but we still expect it to be a great event. This Sunday, more than 100 artists and artisans in Highland Park, Eagle Rock, Mount Washington, and environs will be opening their doors to you, the masses, to look and touch and buy, in many, many mediums: painting, sculpture, ceramics, collage, photography, printmaking, textiles, even aerosol art. Check-in is at the Lummis Home, where you’ll get a map so you can drive yourself from studio to studio, basking in the creative energies of Northeast Los Angeles’ (can’t bring myself to call it NELA) many artists. A partial list of participants can be found here. Looks like a blast.
