Artist and designer Louise Wannier states, “I am fascinated by observing patterns, noticing how light interacts with both nature and our dynamic urban landscapes.…Lately I have become captivated by the presence of abstract patterns within both natural and manmade objects and structures, and noticing that some can be revisited whilst others are only present in the moment the picture (is) taken.”
Come see how Wannier interprets and depicts these thoughts in her abstract photography exhibit titled “Spirit & Stone.”
Wannier of Louise Jane Design is a learned woman, graduating from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Textile Design and UCLA’s Anderson School MBA program, as well as earning a Bachelor of Science degree from Caltech. She creates her own textile art prints, clothing line, and home collection under the label Louis Jane. The textiles and “surface designs” emerge as a result of her photography, illustrations, and paintings.
