Poetry fans take note: the 3rd annual Festival of California Poets is happening in our own town this year, at the Pasadena Central Library. Three of California’s most esteemed poets will read works by what the Poetry Society of America calls “canonical” poets.

The roster includes Laurel Ann Bogen on Eloise Klein Healy, B.H. Fairchild on Henri Coulette and Robert Mezey, and Pasadena’s own Ron Koertge on Steve Kowit.

This is a two-day traveling festival, which will also be taking place at the Hammer Museum in Westwood on October 25th.

Thanks to the Friends of the Pasadena Library and PEN Center USA, this event is free.
