Pasadena Goes to WeHo

Oct 1, 2009

WH Book Fair PostcardThis Sunday your Pasadena publisher and such pals as Julie Campoy, owner of Julienne, head west for the eighth annual return of the West Hollywood Book Fair, the coolest literary happening of the year in L.A.

Come by the Prospect Park Books booth between 1 and 2 p.m. for a taste of Julienne’s legendary Graham Cracker Chewies and a chance to meet Julie Campoy — and get a signed (and discounted!) copy of the smash-hit cookbook, Celebrating with Julienne, which was recently chosen as a finalst for Best Nonfiction Book by the Southern California Independent Booksellers.

Also for sale — at prices so low we’re not allowed to publish them! — will be EAT: Los Angeles, The Food Lover’s Guide to Los Angeles (which I’ll be signing), and Amelia Saltsman’s wonderful Santa Monica Farmers’ Market Cookbook. And there’ll be more book bargains at our booth, including Free L.A.Free O.C. and Hometown Santa Barbara.

Oh, and you’ll also get up close and personal with scores of L.A.’s best novelists, poets, journalists and publishers. And did we mention that admission is free? And books will be discounted almost everywhere?
