…this Sunday at the Neighborhood Unitarian Universalist Church, which is a good place to kick things off. In the program are Beethoven’s String Quartet in D Major (Op. 18, No. 3), Ravel’s Sonata for Violin and Cello, and a new piece by Laura Karpman called “Different Lanes for string quartet and iPad.” The program is called “Tendrils.” Pacific Serenades, you probably know, is a SoCal chamber music ensemble that often commissions new works and presents them alongside the dead horses classics.
It just so happens that the Pacific Serenades contact person, Andrew Fairweather, dabbles in graphic design: he did the cover for a book we’re looking forward to. Small world.
