“No matter if you are sick, tired, unemployed, had a bad day or are even angry, your dog will love you.

“That’s why I made Luke, the Dog, the narrator of this story.”

So explains Carol McKibben, author of Luke’s Tale: A Story of Unconditional Love who will be a part of this Saturday’s “Authors Tour” at Lori and Scott’s renowned Webster’s Fine Stationers in Altadena.

Each featured local author will give a brief presentation, followed by a Q&A period, then all are invite to mingle, chat, buy lots of books, socialize, laugh, get your books personally signed, laugh and yap a little more, etc.

Featured authors include Adrianne Marie Hall with Thresholds, Christina Hamlett with Screenwriting for Teens, Koji Sakai who’s written four feature films, and the ever-inspiring, encouraging, supportive, and creative Ellen Snortland with her Beauty Bites Beast: Awakening the Warrior Within Women and Girls.

Authors Tour USA is a Pasadena-based organization, co-founded by Wendy Anderson and La Quetta Shamblee, created to provide marketing, networking, and promotional support for published authors—with a focus on self-published authors and small, independent publishing companies.

Oh yeah, and the Dog, Luke, the inspiration behind Luke’s Tale, is blind.
