Fresh Produce Clothing is opening a boutique in Old Pasadena this weekend with a ribbon-cutting on Friday, February 8th.
Fresh Produce has 27 company-owned stores nationwide, sells their line in 400 independent retailers and has an online store. Their clothing line for women also has plus sizes and apparel for girls, with an emphasis on comfort and color.
Owner Mary Ellen Vernon says Fresh Produce was created with a coastal sensibility.
When you go to the coast, you just breathe in and there’s an ease, there’s something in the air—it just calms you, so when we create Fresh Produce every day, we’re trying to create more of that.
Another feature about which they’re proud is that 80% of the collection is manufactured in the United States.
Gail Hartin, Vice President of Merchandising, lead designer, and stylist will be available for tips on Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. The Drybar specialists will be on hand Friday through Sunday, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. for complimentary salon services and gifts.
Throughout the weekend, shoppers can also buy one, get one 50% off, and a free striped tote bag with a $150 purchase. Clients will also be eligible to enter a drawing to win Fresh Produce gift cards and a grand prize consisting of a $250 shopping spree.
As Mary Ellen says, “Life is too short for beige.”
