Never had a chance to be a guest diner on Emeril Live? Enjoy the next best thing this Thursday at the central branch of the Pasadena Public Library, which will be playing host to Deb Swarz and Deanna Clark of Old Town Cooking School, as well as Jeanne Kelley, author of Blue Eggs and Yellow Tomatoes, and a Pasadenan to boot. Kelley has a pet goat and chickens in her backyard, the source of the Blue Eggs of the book’s title. Those eggs, her goat’s milk and her garden’s produce all figure prominently in the more than 150 recipes her cookbook contains — “a contemporary version of field-to-table.” Hopefully, there will be delicious samples to snack on, right from the cook’s garden.
