Four days left of the 7th Annual Bike Week Pasadena.
Activities as conveyed by press release:
Wednesday, May 15th, 6:30-9:30 p.m.: dedicated to supporting women on two wheels. A quick-fix repair clinic will be at Paseo Colorado with a social ride through the streets of Pasadena. The ride will be through the streets of Pasadena, riding at a leisurely pace for 7 miles with a stop at Jones Coffee. Location: Paseo Colorado Courtyard, 278 East Colorado Boulevard on the Green Street side.
Thursday, May 16th, 6:30-8:30 a.m.: stop by Pasadena City Hall for a pit stop with coffee, snacks, safety tips, and be recognized for your new (or renewed) commitment to commuting on two wheels. Location: Pasadena City Hall, 100 North Garfield Avenue.
Thursday, May 16th, 5:30-7:30 p.m.: spruce up your ride and grab some grub, drinks, and discounts. New Belgium Brewing will be treating all commuters (21 and over) to their Shift brews. Locaton: Incycle, 175 South Fair Oaks Avenue.
Friday, May 17th, 7-11 p.m.: enjoy a ride under the stars for a moonlight ride to a bike-in movie, Napolean Dynamite, on the big screen at One Colorado. Location: meet at 7 p.m. at Pasadena Cyclery, 1670 East Walnut Street.
Saturday, May 18th, day: roll through the Kids’ Costume Bike Parade. Wear your favorite wacky costumes—for you and your bike—as safe routes are explored and music is provided. A slow, 10 mph ride for about 3 miles. A special appearance by the Mayor! Location: Victory Park, 2575 Paloma Street, Pasadena.
Remember to have a bicycle in good running order with plenty of night lights. All participants under 18 must wear a helmet and be escorted by a parent or guardian.
