3 Drunken Goats

Sep 4, 2010

Same space, same owners, wildly different vibe: The former deli/shop/wasteland of Goudas & Vines has been transformed into the lively tapas restaurant 3 Drunken Goats. Within days of opening it developed a following for its a huge menu of delicious, light small bites (bacon-wrapped dates, croquettes and mushrooms of many kinds, grilled octopus, steamed clams, roasted veggies, small and complex salads) and larger grilled dishes (New York steak with bleu cheese butter), its fun selection of wines, and its occasional live gypsy music. Order a bottle of wine or a carafe of sangria, and linger over a parade of interesting dishes while taking in the upbeat scene that fills this warm, high-ceilinged, barn-like space. Keep ordering until you are nearly full, saving room for the churros with chocolate dipping sauce – you will never eat churros anywhere else again, ever, because these are the most sublime on earth.
