The holidays are going to be relatively quiet at Los Globos, one of Silver Lake’s largest nightclubs,  after police cancelled its dance and live music permits.  The Sunset Boulevard music and dance venue, which has drawn large crowds after it was taken over by night club owner Steve Edelson last year, will remain open for private parties and has applied to regain the permits in a process that could take 45 days, an employee said this morning.   The change of ownership and a growing line up of dance parties and live music acts have not only attracted patrons to Los Globos, which was painted jet black and remodeled inside, but also complaints from nearby neighbors over noise, trash and other problems.

The L.A. Police Commission “unexpectedly cancelled”  the permits as of Monday, according to Hollywood Scene Style, which spoke to Edelson about the matter.
