One male was injured in a late afternoon shooting today in Highland Park.  The victim was transported to a hospital in stable condition, said LAPD Officer Wendy Reyes.  The shooting took place at about 5:15 p.m. in the 200 block of Avenue 55, according to early reports. No further information was available.
