Dec. 12 in Altadena: start with the Christmas Tree Lane crafts & lighting …

On Dec. 12, 2009, the Christmas Tree Lane
Association
will be hosting its 89th Annual
Lighting Ceremony
and its first Winter Arts and Crafts Festival at the
Altadena Main Public Library.

Beginning at 2 PM, there will be arts and
crafts, a petting zoo, performances by local groups and Santa Claus with his
sleigh for childrens’ pictures. At 6 PM, actor Meshach Taylor will MC the
spectacular Lighting Ceremony with entertainment from local groups, 
with Supervisor Michael Antonovich and Santa Claus flipping on the switch for the mile of lit
deodar trees. Then, over 1,000 spectators will be led down the Lane canopy of
colorful lights by the John Muir Alumni Drum Corps. All are invited! 

The Altadena Public Library is at 600
E. Mariposa St.
