Photographer Harry Chandler (yes, one of those Chandlers) is coming to Vroman’s on Thursday night to talk about his new book, Dreamers in a Dream City (Angel City Press, $35). Built around his dramatic portraits, the book profiles 54 of L.A.’s most accomplished and colorful men and women, from Buffy Chandler to Angelyne, Hobie Alter to Walt Disney, Helen Hunt Jackson to Nat King Cole, Upton Sinclair to Ronald Reagan.

Chandler will be talking about the book and, of course, signing copies.
