It’s the road to London, and it’s stopping at the Rose Bowl Aquatics Center for one night.
This Friday, June 1st, the U.S. Men’s Olympic Water Polo team will have an exhibition game against the Croatian Men’s Olympic team. Both teams are considered gold medal contenders and there seems to exist a “fierce rivalry” between these two teams.
Following the game, attendees will be able to meet the Olympians from both countries. A dinner gala will also be held at the poolside, prepared by Onil Chibas Catering (formerly Elements Kitchen of Pasadena).
“This is a perfect opportunity for everyone, whether you are able to travel to the Olympics or not, to enjoy the spirit and hope of the games,” says Cathy Woolway, who, along with Debra Whitehouse, is chairing the event. “We are proud to be working with a dedicated committee and to spotlight water polo, one of the fastest growing sports in the United States.”
Sponsorships are available, starting at $2,000, which includes dinner and a table for 10 guests, seating with a team member, admission to a private pre-event reception with the athletes, a half-page ad in the program, recognition in the invitation and program and reserved match seating.
Also, for a $100, you can buy one of the 500 tickets to be sold and have a chance to win a 2012 Toyota Prius.
