Vertical’s Winemaker Dinner Series

CaymusVineyardVertical Wine Bistro is hosting its Summer Winemaker Dinner Series starting Thursday, June 27th with Caymus Vineyards. A different winery will be featured every month with a different menu “perfectly paired to the featured wines.”

Dinners will include a Prosecco reception and a raffle for a set of the wines tasted that evening.

The reception and the full dinner with wine runs $95 per person. Only 35 spaces available.

The Caymus Vineyards evening begins at 7 p.m. with a charcuterie and fromage table.

  • First course: salmon tartare with a 2011 Silver Unoaked Chardonnay (Central Coast, CA).
  • Second course will be duck confit with fresh cherries gastique, young carrots, and English peas served with a 2011 Meiomi Pinot Noir (CA).
  • Third course (if there’s room!) will be flat iron steak with gorgonzola au gratin potatoes, asparagus, and a bordelaise sauce served with 2010 Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa).
  • Dessert: Chocolate “Decadence” with Italian marinated berries will be served with 2011 Conundrum White Wine (CA).
