Set the kiddies down at Drumtime and go get a cold one at the “Sustainable Beer Garden.” Next, let them be mesmerized by Clair Mills’ puppets and stories-with-costumes while you slip off to jam to Blackwater Jukebox.
The 12th Pasadena Earth & Arts Festival on May 3rd is hosted by the City of Pasadena and the Armory Center for the Arts. On the schedule are art workshops, an Eco-Marketplace, tasty treats, classic rock, folklorico, Aztec dancers, and a band called Artichoke.
Raymond Avenue will be closed between Holly Street and Walnut Avenue from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Master of Ceremonies is author, KPCC commentator, and comic Sandra Tsing Loh. Recycling and composting stations will be located throughout the festival and the Sustainable Beer Garden will be serving artisan brews from Pasadena’s Craftsman Brewing Company. Drinks will be served in fully compostable, corn-based cups.
