And to coincide with the arrival of said ambassadors into Southern California, Twohey’s iconic restaurant in Alhambra (established 1943) has created two celebratory desserts: The StrawVine-berry Short Cake and a Cherry Pie Vine Shake.
The short cake is a sponge cake layered with fresh strawberries, whipped cream, and a Red Vines twists-infused sauce. The shake has homemade cherry pie blended with vanilla ice cream and Red Vines twists, topped with whipped cream and Red Vines-infused sauce. These two whopping dessert choices will be on Twohey’s menu starting Friday, April 21, and through May 21. Both desserts cost $4.95.
April 12 was National Licorice Day and the Red Vines CA Collection offers a “first-time ever package of 7 different licorice pieces.”
Free samples will be given away by the Red Vines ambassadors at Twohey’s on Friday, April 21, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., along with free t-shirts.
